KuppingerCole recognizes Bare.ID as a "Rising Star" for digital sovereignty, flexibility, and modern IAM architecture.

Analysts are impressed by Bare.ID's IAM platform's flexible deployment models, digital sovereignty, and open-source core.
Wiesbaden, May 11, 2026 – Bare.ID, a provider of Identity and Access Management (IAM), has achieved something that only a few companies manage: being recognized by KuppingerCole as a "Rising Star." KuppingerCole bestows this award upon young, innovative companies with above-average growth potential in the IAM market. In addition to assessment criteria such as management or organizational structure, innovation capability and product-market fit are the decisive factors.
"For us, the Rising Star is more than just an award. It is the result of a corporate and solution strategy rigorously adapted to market needs, as well as intensive work in a highly competitive environment," says Elmar Eperiesi-Beck, CEO of Bare.ID. "The Rising Star doesn't just make us shine a little brighter. The award is also a confirmation for our customers and partners that they are making the right choice with us when it comes to the security of their digital identities. In discussions with our customers, we repeatedly see how important aspects like compliance, integration, and digital sovereignty are, in addition to functional requirements – and we consistently align our platform with these."
KuppingerCole justifies awarding the Rising Star to Bare.ID by citing an increasingly diverse market for IAM solutions, with a particular rise in demand for lean, integrated solutions among mid-sized companies. Practitioners note that offerings from larger providers often fail to adequately meet this demand, as they are typically not tailored to the specific needs of mid-sized businesses. Bare.ID makes a valuable contribution with its offering by uniting Access Management and IGA in a way that is specifically designed for the requirements of mid-sized companies. The solution combines functional depth with high user-friendliness and can be seamlessly integrated into existing IT landscapes thanks to flexible deployment models – from SaaS to hybrid scenarios and on-premise. At the same time, customers retain control over their data and avoid long-term dependencies through a fully German supply chain and an open-source core. Bare.ID thus positions itself as a European alternative to complex IAM platforms – focusing on flexibility, transparency, and digital sovereignty.
