Wiesbaden, October 6, 2025 — Bare.ID, a leading German provider of a platform for identity and access management, has appointed Elmar Eperiesi-Beck as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director with effect from October 1. Eperiesi-Beck, who has been strategically supporting Bare.ID as a management consultant for two years, brings decades of experience in the IT security environment, expertise in building corporate groups and a strong network to his new role.
The appointment of Eperiesi-Beck as CEO is a logical next step and a joint decision by the management team. In addition to founder and managing director Kian Gould, Elmar Eperiesi-Beck as CEO and Bastian Ike as CTO will form the dual leadership of Bare.ID. The team is looking forward to working even closer together.
Eperiesi-Beck is a recognized industry expert in IT security and data protection. His career is characterized by founding and building successful companies as well as profound expertise in the development and implementation of security solutions. His ability to understand complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions made a significant contribution to Eperi's success. Under his leadership, Eperi achieved sustained growth and brought an experienced team of investors on board.
Elmar Eperiesi-Beck previously worked as Principal at IBM (1999-2001) and as Senior Project Manager at Aareon AG (2001-2002), where he gained extensive experience in managing multinational projects and setting up e-business start-ups. His career began with a degree in business informatics at the University of Duisburg/Essen. “I see enormous potential in Bare.ID, particularly due to the increasing demand for sovereign solutions for identity and access management. Together with the entire Bare.ID team, I am looking forward to actively continuing to shape the growth strategy,” says Eperiesi-Beck. “Digital sovereignty is particularly important to me — in light of current developments, transparency, open source and data protection are more important than ever. In terms of content, this fits in perfectly with Bare.ID's strengths and positioning. As part of our growth strategy and in response to the increase in demand, we will also expand our partner ecosystem and expand our overall market presence.” Kian Gould, founder of Bare.ID, points out: “I'm really excited about this development. The appointment of Elmar as CEO is a logical step following our two years of close collaboration. His experience and strategic vision will take Bare.ID to the next level. ”
